What factors contribute to the modern woman desire to be constantly in search of Mr.Right, settling down, and having a family? (Let's just say every woman has a little part of them that has this desire on some intensity level -- me? guilty as charged!)

I was just thinking about this and how the modern woman has evolved into this. Previous quote I've found: "Men define their lives and happiness by their occupational and financial success." "Women define their lives and happiness off of their relationships."... Highlighting the archaic role model of the man providing for the family and his wife.

So is a educated woman supposed to go earn her degrees, build a successful career, met the man of her dreams, then put her career on hold to have children and build a family while the man provides for the family. Unfortunately, yes. Of course there are numerous options and considerable plans for couples to engage in. But for my personal view I would much rather stay home with my children and raise them if and only if my husband can provide a stable financial lifestyle for a handful of years until the children wouldn't need me at home everyday.

But then the question becomes -- in order to have the functional healthy happy family a woman desires you need to have the ideal mate to make this possible. and then BAM! that's where the desire to be in a constant search for Mr. Right comes in.

Of course there are several other cheesy and romantic benefits from finding your Mr. Perfect but the discussion above is from a bigger picture realist POV.
